MEET THE TEAM

COLIN EVANS
Colin has been part of CVCC for over 20 years and has been involved in leadership for most of that time. He is married to Sarah and they have two children in their twenties. Colin is “semi retired”, but manages to keep himself fully occupied with work in the church, involvement in a number of projects for those in need in Bristol, and working alongside parents who have children with special needs in Somerset.

SAMANTHA HART
Sam and her husband Paul have been part of CVCC for over 25 years. They have two older teenage children. Sam Is passionate about seeing everyone achieve their God given purpose in life. As well as being a church leader, she has a full-time role as a partner in a global professional services firm.

JACKIE THOMAS
Jackie is married to Kevin who is a worship leader at CVCC, they have two teenage children. Jackie has been on the leadership since March 2019 and has been working part time for CVCC as co-ordinator since 2015. Jackie is passionate about sharing Jesus with children and young people and alongside Phil, heads up the children and youth work. She also works one day a week as a nurse.

PHIL RUSSELL
Phil is married to Carol and they have two children, one studying at university and one at college. He has worked in industry and continues to do so, alongside working with the church for over 30 years. His passion is to introduce people to Jesus and to encourage those that have faith along the way. Phil heads up children and youth, alongside Jackie.

ANITA WORCESTER
Safeguarding and Pastoral Co-ordinator
Anita is married, has 2 adult sons and a lively collie. She is our safeguarding lead and church pastoral co-ordinator. Anita has been involved in social care for many years and now works part time as a therapist and life coach.

JANET CAINEY
Welcome Team Lead
Janet is an HR advisor and has worked for Bristol University for the past 21 years. She has lived in Cheddar for 12 years, close to her family who are very important to her.
Janet loves attending CVCC and enjoys leading the welcome team. She and her team look forward to welcoming you on a Sunday morning or at any of our events and activities.

RICHARD TIMM
Treasurer
Richard has been part of the church here since he retired to the peace of the countryside over 10 years ago, escaping a long central London based career in public administration. Since then he has been keeping our finances on track (often needing his toes as well as fingers to add things up). He is a widower with two adult children who have large families of their own.
